WHAT does blah-de-blah provide?
We offer 20, 15, 10, and 5 week summer presessional classes for EAP learners. Classes cover the following topics: listening and note taking; seminar, presentation, and discussion skills; speed reading; library and internet use; university level vocabulary; computer skills; research techniques; and critical thinking.
Academic writing is of course a focus as this is generally how you will be assessed at University, however our aim is to cover all the skills you will need so that you are fully rounded and prepared for academic study in the UK.
We want students to leave blah-de-blah with the following skills:
- To have developed linguistic ability in an academic context (essays, reports, case studies, projects, seminars, presentations, debates, discussions).
- To be able to write in an academic style, structure their writing appropriately and to present their points clearly.
